•  I am excited to begin my thirteenth year at Manhattan Schools!
I grew up in Townsend, Montana.  After graduating Broadwater High School, I attended the University of Montana from which I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with honors from the Davidson Honors College.  My husband and I then moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where I began my teaching career in Idaho School District 91.  I taught fourth grade for seven years.
In 2001, I decided to take a break from my teaching career and stay home with our two young sons.  In 2002, we moved back to Montana, settling in Belgrade.  I soon became busy raising our sons, teaching piano lessons, and volunteering in our church's education programs.  I began teaching preschool at Ladybudy Preschool in Belgrade in 2006 and taught there for 4 years. Wanting our children to be part of a smaller school system, we relocated to Manhattan in June 2009.
My husband Jeff is the finance director for Gallatin County. Our son Alec teaches math at Manhattan High School, and I love having him as a colleague.  Our son Michael graduated from Montana Tech last spring.  He now works as a civil engineer for RPA Engineering in Helena. In my free time, I love to read, hike, play piano, travel, boat and ride my bike.  I love dogs and have a silver lab named River.
I look forward to a great school year with these fourth graders!
