I received my degree in elementary education with a minor in physical education from Northern State University (Formally Northern State College) in Aberdeen, S.D. I began my teaching career in Aberdeen teaching grades 4 - 6. While teaching, I continued to take graduate classes and received my masters degree in school administration from NSU in 1983. That same year I was hired as the elementary principal in Forsyth, MT. I continued in that position until 1989. In 1989 I applied for and was hired as the K - 8 principal in Manhattan. Manhattan's strong educational reputation, teaching staff, and community support make it an excellent place to work and educate kids. My family and I enjoy not only the great school system but also the community and the many advantages of living and working in this part of the country.
