• Walt Woolbaugh began teaching secondary science in PA in 1974. He’s been at Manhattan since 1986. He feels that all students can succeed at science and he also feels that science literacy is important in everyone’s lives. His classes are designed to be inquiry-based, hands-on lab experiences that focus on important content in all disciplines of science - earth science, chemistry, physical science and biology. There should be opportunities provided for students to participate in extra science events like a Science Olympiad and/or a Science Fair. It’s also important for students to have experiences in doing original science research.
